What is safeguarding?
4 min read · updated 2026-09-01
Safeguarding is the set of practices that keeps children safe with adults who work with them: vetting, conduct standards, transparency and reporting routes. Any tutoring company serving children should be able to explain its safeguarding policy without being asked twice.
What good safeguarding includes
- ✓ Tutor vetting: identity checks, qualification verification and references before hire
- ✓ Written conduct policy: what tutors may and may not do, including communication rules
- ✓ Transparency: parents can see who teaches, review sessions and contact the company directly
- ✓ Reporting: a clear route to raise concerns, taken seriously and acted on
Questions to ask any tutoring company
How do you vet tutors before they teach? Can I see the safeguarding policy? What happens if I raise a concern? How are sessions monitored? Hesitation, vagueness or refusal are the answer.
FAQs
Are your tutors vetted?+
Yes: EagleTeach tutors are degree-verified, interviewed and trained, sessions run on visible platforms with parents able to observe, and concerns go through official channels with written policies.

Some companies record for quality and safety. If that matters to you, ask the policy before booking.
