4 min read ยท updated 2026-10-02
ATARs come out in December, on different days in each state. Here are the 2026 dates for Victoria and NSW, and what to do in the days that follow.
2026 release dates
- โ Victoria (VCE): VCE results and ATARs from 7am on Thursday 10 December 2026, through the VCE Results and ATAR Service
- โ NSW and ACT: HSC results and ATARs on Wednesday 16 December 2026; ATARs are released by UAC from 9am
- โ NSW: first offers to Year 12 students in UAC's December Round 2 on 23 December 2026
What to do on results day
Check your ATAR against the selection ranks of the courses on your preference list, then remember that adjustment factors (such as subject bonuses or regional schemes) can raise the selection rank above the ATAR itself. If a course looks out of reach, change preferences before the next offer round rather than waiting.
