HKDSE 2027 exam timetable

The 2027 HKDSE written exams start on Tuesday 6 April with Visual Arts and run to Tuesday 4 May 2027, with the core subjects in the first week. The HKEAA's tentative date for results is around 14 July 2027. Every written paper below is in the morning session.
Core subjects
The four core subjects all fall in the first eight exam days:

- โ English Language Paper 3 (Listening and Integrated Skills): Saturday 10 April 2027

Speaking, practical exams and dates still to be fixed
The English Language speaking exam runs from mid to late March 2027 on weekdays, with special sessions for SEN candidates in late March. Physical Education practical exams run from late February to late March, and Music practicals from early to mid-March.
Dates for Literature in English, Technology and Living, Physical Education and Music written papers are finalised after registration closes; each will fall on one of the slots the HKEAA has set aside for them (7 April, 20 April, 29 April or 3 May). There are no exams on 1 May (Labour Day), and 3-4 May hold reserve sessions.
Planning revision around the timetable
Because the core papers come first, Chinese, English and Maths revision needs to be finished by early April, while elective revision continues through the second and third weeks. Students taking Physics and M1 or M2 have two maths-heavy papers three days apart (21 and 23 April), so timed practice for both should overlap in the final fortnight.
