British Columbia's graduation assessments are the Grade 10 Numeracy, Grade 10 Literacy and Grade 12 Literacy assessments. In 2026-27 they are offered in four sessions, and schools choose the days and start times within each window.
2026-27 sessions
- โ November 2026: Monday 2 to Friday 6 November
- โ January 2027: Monday 11 to Friday 22 January
- โ April 2027: Monday 12 to Friday 16 April
- โ June 2027: Monday 7 to Friday 18 June
Times and length
Assessments can be launched any time between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, local school time. Each is designed to be completed within two hours, and students may take up to 60 additional minutes if needed. The Grade 10 Numeracy Assessment includes a two-page paper response component.
Preparing
The numeracy assessment is about applying maths to unfamiliar situations and explaining reasoning, not about one course's content. Practice with multi-step problems and written explanations helps more than extra drill.
