QCE points planner

The QCE is earned by accumulating credits from completed subjects - 20 in total, plus literacy and numeracy requirements. This planner maps where each credit comes from, semester by semester, so Queensland students always know how far they are from the certificate and which ATAR subjects need protecting.

Or book 2 free demo classes

Set up (start of Year 11)

  • List each subject and the credits it contributes per semester completed
  • Mark the ATAR-relevant subjects - these need protecting, not just passing
  • Note literacy and numeracy requirements against current subjects

Each semester

  • Tick off credits as units are completed at the required standard
  • Flag any subject at risk early - one conversation with the teacher beats a surprise at certification
  • Recount the credit total and the semesters remaining

Year 12

  • Confirm the credit total reaches the requirement by final semester
  • Keep ATAR subjects the priority for external exam season
  • Check QCAA certification details before the final term ends

Tutor tip: The planner keeps the certificate on track; the study behind each credit is the other half. Weekly one-to-one QCE tutoring protects both.
