VCE exam revision planner

VCE grades are built from SACs across the year and sealed in the October-November exams. This planner runs both ends: a SAC-preparation rhythm that protects school assessment, and a past-VCAA-paper cycle for the final ten weeks.

Through the year: protect the SACs

  • Diary every SAC date for Units 3-4 at the start of each semester
  • Two 40-minute reviews in the week before each SAC, one on weakest area
  • Rewrite one lost-mark answer per SAC with the study design in hand
  • One 30-minute CAS calculator drill per week for maths subjects

Final ten weeks: the paper cycle

  • One past VCAA paper per subject per week, strictly timed
  • Mark against the assessment report, not just the answers
  • Error log every Sunday; weakest topics get double time
  • Last three weeks: two papers per week, examiner-report phrases learned

Exam weeks

  • Sleep protected above all - the October-November block is a marathon
  • Light recall and formula sheets only in the final 48 hours
  • Equipment, approved calculator and notes checked the night before

Tutor tip: The planner works because VCAA exams repeat structures yearly. If executing it needs accountability, weekly one-to-one VCE tutoring provides the marking and the push.
