When should SHSAT prep start?＋
Summer before grade 8 is the classic runway, with weekly sessions through autumn. The test usually falls in October and November, so a June or July start leaves comfortable room for full-length practice tests.
Can my child retake the SHSAT?＋
Only under limited conditions (such as a ninth-grade sit for first-time applicants), which is why preparation treats the single sitting with the seriousness it deserves: mocks first, exam-day habits second.
