The IB in South Korea
Of the 110 IB World Schools in South Korea in February 2026, 72 were public, around 63% of IB provision. Daegu Foreign Language High School was the country's first public IB World School. In public schools the PYP and MYP can be taught fully in Korean, while the Diploma is taught bilingually.
The May 2027 Diploma exams run from Friday 23 April to Tuesday 18 May 2027. Worldwide, the May 2026 session averaged 30.88 points out of 45; a Diploma needs at least 24 points and the core conditions.
