When do AP scores come out?

AP scores come out in early July. In 2026 they were released to students on Monday 6 July, starting at 8am Eastern time and rolling out by region, while colleges began receiving them from 1 July. College Board announces the 2027 date in the spring.

How to see your scores

Scores appear in your College Board account at apstudents.collegeboard.org, using the same login you used for AP Classroom. Each exam is scored from 1 to 5; many colleges give credit or placement for a 3, 4 or 5, depending on the subject.

Scores you sent as your free score send reach the college you chose automatically. Late or makeup exams are scored later in July.

Using the score

A 4 or 5 in a subject you plan to study can save a semester of introductory coursework. A lower score doesn't have to appear on college applications, which are usually self-reported, so speak to your counselor before sending everything.
