How to revise for GCSE Biology

GCSE Biology is the most content-heavy of the three sciences, but it is also the most patterned: the same biological principles (exchange, transport, homeostasis, inheritance) repeat across topics. Here is how to revise it without drowning in flashcards.
Understand the systems, don't just list the parts
Biology questions ask how systems work together: how the digestive system and circulatory system cooperate to deliver glucose to cells, or how the nervous and endocrine systems both regulate blood sugar. Learn each system as a story with inputs, processes and outputs, not as a list of parts.
Master the keywords
Biology mark schemes award marks for precise vocabulary: diffusion, osmosis, active transport, mitosis, meiosis, enzymes, antibodies. Using the everyday word instead of the scientific term loses the mark. Build a keyword glossary and test yourself on definitions until they are instant.

- ✓ Enzyme activity: pH and temperature effects
