UCAT preparation can cost almost nothing beyond the test fee, or several hundred pounds. Here is what the test itself costs in the UK and Australia, what the main online courses charge, and what one-to-one tutoring adds.
The test fee

Online courses and question banks
Most candidates use an online question bank with full mock tests. Prices published by two of the best-known providers:

One-to-one UCAT tutoring
UCAT tutors usually charge specialist rates. Across UK subjects, TutorCruncher's May 2026 data puts most private tutors at £30-50 an hour, with London tutors at £50-65 and university-level tutoring at £50-100 or more. A tutor is most useful for the subtests a student finds hardest, usually Decision Making or Quantitative Reasoning under time, alongside a question bank for volume.
