ISEE admissions in Dallas
St. Mark's School of Texas, for example, requires the ISEE for applicants to grades 5 to 11, with score reports due by 29 January 2027 and applications for those grades open from 8 to 29 January 2027. Younger applicants take other assessments: the ISEE Primary for grades 2 and 3, and CATS and ATS tests for grade 1. Decisions are announced on 12 March 2027.
Other Dallas schools set their own requirements and dates, so check each school's admission page before booking a test date.
How the ISEE works
The ISEE has four scored sections (Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Reading Comprehension and Mathematics Achievement) and an unscored essay sent to schools. Students can test once per season (fall, winter and spring/summer), up to three times in 12 months.
