11+ tutoring for Slough's grammar schools
Slough has four grammar schools served by one shared 11+ process, making it one of the densest grammar clusters in England. Families here know the race starts early, and structured weekly preparation from Year 5 is the pattern that works.
The Slough grammar cluster
Herschel, Langley, St Bernard's and Upton Court all admit through the Slough 11+ entrance exam, covering verbal and non-verbal reasoning, maths and English. One preparation programme covers all four schools, with preferences ranked at application.

Common questions
Which schools does the Slough 11+ cover?๏ผ
The shared Slough process covers Herschel Grammar, Langley Grammar, St Bernard's Catholic Grammar and Upton Court Grammar. One preparation programme covers all four.
When should Slough families start?๏ผ
Foundations in Year 4 and structured practice in Year 5 is the proven pattern, with the exam in autumn of Year 6.
Are weekly mocks really necessary?๏ผ
Yes. The 11+ is as much a timing test as a knowledge test, and children who have sat a dozen timed sections walk into the real exam calm. We mark every mock and re-teach the weak topics the same week.
