KHDA-inspected schools in Dubai span UK-curriculum (GCSE and A-Level), IB continuum, American and Indian boards, and many families switch systems between schools. Sessions follow your child's actual programme: Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSEs, IB MYP and DP, or US-style coursework.
What Dubai families request

Dubai's private schools in numbers
In 2024-25, Dubai's 227 private schools taught 387,441 pupils, 6% more than the year before, and 8 of the 10 schools that opened that year teach the British curriculum. The UK curriculum is the largest, followed by Indian, American and IB programmes, as the table below shows. The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) regulates and inspects the emirate's private schools.
Match the tutoring to the programme
Each curriculum has its own exams and its own calendar, so we start from the programme on your child's timetable:
- โ British curriculum: Cambridge or Pearson Edexcel IGCSEs in Year 11, then A-Levels or the IB Diploma
- โ IB: the Middle Years Programme, then the Diploma Programme in the last two years
- โ American curriculum: high school courses, AP exams and the SAT for university applications
