GCSE English: from 'don't know what to write' to top bands
English GCSE is marked on technique: thesis-driven essays, embedded quotes, comparing poems under time pressure. Our tutors teach the structures that move work up a grade, and mark practice like an examiner.

Common questions
Do you know my child's set texts?๏ผ
Tell us the school's texts (e.g. An Inspector Calls, Macbeth, Power & Conflict cluster) in the booking form, sessions use those exact texts.
English or Language, which matters more?๏ผ
Most sixth forms want both, and Language 5+ is the common gate. We'll assess where the marks are cheapest to gain and start there.
How quickly can English grades move?๏ผ
Technique-driven moves (question timing, essay structure) show in the next mock; the deeper reading and vocabulary gains build over a term. Most students gain one to two grades across two terms of weekly sessions.
