Testing
The SET is two multiple-choice papers, English and maths. The English paper (50 minutes) has spelling, two reading texts and a question comparing them. There's no verbal or non-verbal reasoning.

Ranking combines the SET and the two Stage 2 papers in a 1:2:2 ratio, after age adjustment.
Sport and music aptitude tests are held on a separate day for boys who apply for those places.
